Next time you and your date are looking for a dinner spot in the Mission check out Beretta on 24th and Valencia. This hip little bistro is open late every night making for lively after hours crowds. Forgo ordering main entrees or pizza for an a la carte antipasti feast including favorites like bruschette with broccoli rabe, baked polenta, and walnut bread with burrata and mushroom truffle honey. Choose a house cocktail like the Lonsdale with gin, apple, honey, lemon, and extra basil or the Kentucky Mule (shown above) with bourbon, lime, ginger, and martinique. For die hard whiskey lovers try the Rattlesnake or the bonfire in your mouth Port of Spain, which uses tequila reminiscent to a peaty scotch. Wind down with the panna gelato with extra virgin olive oil and a dash of sea salt and you'll be golden!
