Blogger Faves: Laura Grace Carroll

I'm really excited to introduce a new feature to our blog, Blogger Faves. Our first guest blogger is someone not so near but very dear to me, my little sister, Laura Grace. She just moved to Germany to teach English for a year at a little school in Bavaria, and she's taking every chance she can to soak in her beautiful surroundings and eat up the adventure of it all. Here are a few of her favorite things from Lydali:

1. Blue Rustic Linen Pillow Cover
When I moved into my flat in Germany, it came with peach colored walls in the living room. I have grown to love it, but it makes choosing colors a little difficult, but these blue and white pillows would go perfectly on my couch. They are the perfect colors, with just the right amount of the aged, antique look for my little place.

2. Elsabet Tube Necklace
Especially these days with a trip on the agenda for almost every weekend, I love jewelry that is versatile! This Elsabet Tube Necklace is adorable, but simple enough that it goes with everything! I am dying to make it part of my everyday wear.

3. Easy Silver Studs
I am always on the lookout for little studs that are classy and unique, but still go with everything. Especially on weekend trips when I'm living out of a tiny backpack (or a Coffee Travel Bag!), I don't want to deal with packing earrings. These are perfect for everyday wear, but can also be dressed up for a night out!

4. Coffee Travel Bag

Though I have been throwing clothes in my old north face backpack from middle school, I think its about time to upgrade to a real travel bag for my weekend adventures and the Coffee Travel Bag looks like it'll do the trick! It's distinct so not to be confused with others, but its also small enough that carrying it as I hop on and off trains with be no problem!

5. Peace Cord Parachute Bracelet
This was the first Lydali product I owned, and I love it. It's cool because people often ask me the story behind it, which is a neat way to bring attention to the women in Afghanistan and advertise for Lydali. Also, I was climbing in the Swiss Alps a few weekends ago and we wanted some strong rope, and I was so sad I wasn't wearing this bracelet to offer up the parachute rope…you never know when you might need it!

6. Colorful Leather Wrapped Journal
Since I am living in Germany alone, I have been making writing a priority. Whether it's journaling about my feelings, jotting down funny things my students say, or making a list of places I want to travel this year, this small journal is fantastic and easily fits in a purse so I can always have it with me!

7. Snakeskin Wristlet

I have to admit, I already have this in black and brown and I am contemplating ordering it in tealtoo. It just works for every occasion…I feel great traveling with it because it keeps my valuables right on my wrist (safe from the infamous euro pickpocketers…). I brought it to a fancy wedding in London just a few weekends ago, and I already have it packed for my trip to Berlin this weekend! I cannot stress how much I love this wristlet, if you don't already have it, do yourself a favor and order one now.

Thanks so much, Lod, for sharing your favorite things and for being such a loyal fan and customer! Have fun in Berlin this weekend! xo

Fantastic looking site! I have a site as well but unfortunately I’m not very good with design and other computer (tech) related stuff, but would like to make my theme a bit more custom as well. Could you refer me to your designer please? Thank you so much, Gooel
